Non-EU citizens can establish an LTD company. That is a private company limited by shares. To establish it, you have to deposit 7.500€ founding capital. Then all shareholder and representatives have to come to Slovenia to register the company and open the bank account. When the company is officially registered, you can proceed to do business in Europe.

People often think that only opening a company is enough to immigrate to Slovenia through business. But in fact, the company has to fulfill specific conditions in order to be able to employ foreigners.
After company registration, the company has three options through which it can gain the right to employ foreigners:
- invest at least 50.000€ into fixed assets of the company in the first 6 months from company registration,
- or employ an EU citizen for 6 months on a full work-day,
- or show company turnover 10.000€/month for 6 consecutive months.
When the company fulfills one of these conditions, the representative of the company can apply for the work and residence permit. Once you receive it, you can immigrate to Slovenia and oversee your business here.
