Depending on a company’s business activity, a fixed asset can be many things. For most business scopes, it can be real estate in form of an office. It can also be residential property if the company’s business activity is connected to renting own real estate. It can also be a car or equipment, if the business activity is more specific. Certain business activities can also include other types of fixed assets. For example, for the transportation of goods, a truck can be a fixed asset. For construction, buying construction equipment counts as fixed assets.
How can you start business immigration to Slovenia by buying fixed assets?
To start business immigration, there are three possibilities which can enable a company to prove active business conduct. Firstly, you would have to register a company. Non-EU citizens can register an LTD company with 7.500€ share capital.
After company registration, the Slovenian legislation predicts three options for a company to become eligible to employ foreigners:
- investing 50.000€ into fixed assets of the company,
- or employing an EU citizen for 6 months on a full work day and pay them monthly salary,
- or showing company revenue at least 10.000€ each month for 6 consecutive months.
Investing 50.000€ into fixed assets is by far the fastest way to start business immigration to Slovenia. As soon as you make the purchase of the item or items related to your business activity in the amount of at least 50.000€, your accountant can include them in your company’s fixed assets registry. Then you can immediately apply for your work and residence permit and also start processes of employing non-EU staff. With the other two options for business immigration, you would have to wait at least 6 months just to fulfill the condition, while with the investment option you can apply as soon as you make the purchase.
