What kind of company can you establish in Slovenia?
If you want to export your products to the EU you can decide on various company types, depending on your previous experience. If you are an experience entrepreneur and have a company abroad, you can decide to open a branch office or a subsidiary of your company.
But if you do not have a company abroad, you can decide to open an entirely new LTD company. Before company registration, you would have to obtain Slovenian tax numbers for all shareholders and representatives. It is also a service we can offer you to obtain it on your behalf.
When registering an LTD company in order to do export business, you have to provide 7.500€ founding capital. After company registration, you can use these funds to pay ongoing expenses of the company like taxes, salaries or investments.
You will have to come to Slovenia to register your export company. Here, you would sign the act of establishment. It will include your company’s name, business activities, members of the company, business address and amount of the founding capital. Our consultants will make sure that the act of establishment is prepared according to your wishes and the Slovenian legislations.
Obtaining the VAT number for the company to do export in the EU
If you plan to export your products in other EU member states, your company would need to obtain a VAT number.
You can enter the VAT system voluntarily after company registration because you do not get it automatically when you register a company in Slovenia. In the process, you will have to prove that your company will plan to actively do business. You can prove it with pro-forma invoices, advance payments, contracts, letters of intent, employment of staff etc. The more evidence you can muster, the faster your company would obtain the VAT number.
