Purchasing property can be a good choice for business investment in Slovenia
Many foreigners decide to invest in property in Slovenia. They see it as good business opportunity in terms of long-term and short-term rent. Nowadays, there are not only possibilities for offering classic accommodation through hotels or guesthouses but many companies decide to rent out their residential real estate through portals like Airbnb or Booking. As tourism is still increasing in Slovenia, owning real estate and using it for business is always a sound investment.
Most non-EU citizens cannot buy property as natural persons. They would have to register an LTD company to buy residential real estate and also use it for the company’s business activity. Opening an LTD company requires that the shareholder provides at least 7.500€ share capital. Also, all owners and representatives require a Slovenian tax number and the company needs a business address in Slovenia.
