A foreigner would need to obtain a Slovenian tax number to register the LTD company. Additionally, the company needs a business address in Slovenia. Then the foreigner has to come to Slovenia to register the company and open the bank account. In the process, he/she deposits 7500€ founding capital. Once the company is established, the entrepreneur can proceed to do business in Slovenia and also start obtaining the work and residence permit.

Some people think this that it is sufficient just to open the company to start business immigration. In fact the company has to fulfill one of three specific terms in order to start employing foreigners.
The terms the following:
- investing 50.000€ into the company’s fixed assets,
- or employing an EU citizen for 6 months on a full work-day,
- or showing company turnover 10.000€ each month for 6 consecutive months.
Once the company fulfilled one of these conditions, the representative can start his/her process of business immigration. Once the entrepreneur receives the permit, he/she can start being an employee in their own company.
