Business of construction is blooming in Slovenia in 2021. We measure it by the amount of performed construction work. The value of the construction work put in place in January this year was higher than the value of construction put in place in the month before and even higher than the value of construction put in place in January of last year. What are the data for the business of construction and which areas are growing?
Business of construction increased in January
According to Statistical Office of Slovenia (SURS) data, business of construction recorded a strong growth in the first month of the year! The value of construction put in place in January 2021 was 8.3% higher than in December 2020. However, the value of construction put in place on buildings and civil engineering works was higher, but not the value of specialized construction put in place. The latter decreased by 4.6%.
The business of construction is even more active than in the time before the pandemic!
Business of construction recorded a higher value of work performed in January also compared to the same period last year. That is, if we compare it to the time before the pandemic. Construction has increased mainly for residential buildings
In the period of one year, the value of works on buildings increased by 18.2%. The value of construction put in place in residential buildings increased by 39.4% and in non-residential buildings by 9.3%. The growth in the value of construction put in place in civil engineering was 3.2% in the year. The value of business of construction put in place on an annual basis decreased by 14.4%.
