Conditions of business immigration to Slovenia
Only opening an LTD company in Slovenia does not give the foreigner automatic right for business immigration. When doing business in Slovenia, the company would also have to fulfill specific conditions to be able to employ foreigners. The company can choose between the following three conditions:
- investing 50.000€ into fixed assets of the company,
- or employing an EU citizen for 6 months on a full workday,
- or showing company turnover at least 10.000€/month for 6 consecutive months.
Your company only has to fulfill one of these conditions. The fastest way to become eligible for business immigration is choosing the investment option.
What kind of investment options can you choose from to become eligible for business immigration?
Sometimes foreigners think that they only have specific investment options for any type of business activity. But the legislation foresees that the 50.000€ investment has to be done for the company’s specific business activity. It means, that companies with different activities can have different things that are considered investment into fixed assets. And something that is considered an investment option for business immigration in one company, could not be considered in another with a different activity.
For example, if your company’s business activity is renting out own real estate, purchasing residential property can be considered an investment option to fulfill the condition for business immigration.
If you have opened a transportation company, purchasing trucks would count as an investment.
Purchasing commercial real estate is possible for most business activities, especially consulting.
IT companies can purchase computers, servers or software and that would count as investment into fixed assets.
If you are running a restaurant, buying the space where the restaurant is located or equipment for the restaurant is also your investment option.
The common ground in all of these cases is that the accumulated investment amount has to be 50.000€ or more in order to count as an investment to fixed assets that makes you eligible for business immigration.
