In order to relocate to Slovenia, you would have to obtain a work and residence permit. You can obtain it through your company, but only being an owner is not enough. The Slovenian legislation prescribes three possibilities for companies that want to employ non-EU citizens.
You can decide to either:
- invest 50.000 € to fixed assets of the company,
- or employ an EU citizen for full-time for 6 months,
- or show company turnover 10.000 €/month for 6 consecutive months.
Once you have fulfilled one of these conditions, you can proceed to applying for your work and residence permit.
If you have decided to invest in your company, you have to make the investment within the first 6 months from company registration. Also, it is not sufficient only to deposit these funds to your corporate bank account. You have to spend it for something you need for business conduct. There is no general rule what this item can be, as long as it is connected to your company being able to provide its services.
