Foreign tourists have generated almost 450.000 overnight stays in Slovenia in November 2019
From the 290.000 tourists in Slovenia in November 2019, almost 193.000 tourists were foreigners. When they came to Slovenia, they generated almost 450.000 overnight stays. The majority were from Italy (19%), followed by Austrians (17%), Croatians (8%), Serbians (7%) and Germans (6%).
The majority of tourists have stayed in the municipalities with thermal features (35% of all overnight stays). Secondly, they were followed by Ljubljana, where 18% of the overnight stays occurred. The coastal cities were in third place (14%) and the Alpine regions were in fourth place (13%).
Most of the tourists decided to stay in hotels, followed by private rooms, which they rented through portals like Airbnb and Booking.
