The increase of gross domestic product in Slovenia in 2018 was 6,4% in comparison to 2017. It amounts to 45.755 million EUR. In 5 statistical regions the increase was even bigger than the national average. The highest rate was in central Slovenia (7,3%), South-Eastern region (7,1%) and in Koroška region (7,0%). In addition to the growing gross domestic product, there has also been an increase in employment. This also influences the gross domestic product, since 49,9% of the GDP represents the costs for employees.
