If you are a citizen of a country which is not an EU member and you have a residence permit in Slovenia, you can obtain personal work permit valid for 3 years.
How to obtain personal work permit for 3 years?
In order to obtain personal work permit for 3 years, you must belong to one of the following categories:
- You are close family member of a foreigner, who has permanent residence permit in Slovenia or a close family member of a refugee and you have valid temporary residence permit for family reunification
- You are self-employed foreigner and you have been self-employed in Slovenia for at least 20 months within last 24 months period and you are registered in the Business register
- You have vocational education or National Vocational Qualifications acquired in Slovenia and you have been registered with social insurance for at least 20 months within the last 24-month period
- You are daily migrant worker and you have been registered with social insurance for at least 20 months within the last 24-month period
- You have completed the last year of schooling in Slovenia and have completed higher education and will find employment or become self-employed no later than six months from the issue of the personal work permit
- You have finished a research work programme in Slovenia and you will find employment or become self-employed no later than six months from the issue of the personal work permit
- You are close family member of a foreigner reffered to in the previous point
- You are close family member of a foreigner who has the status of researcher in Slovenia
