1st step in business immigration to Slovenia – company registration
The first step in business immigration will be the actual company registration. The only company type you can open as a natural person, who is not an EU citizen, is LTD company. Before the actual registration you would need to obtain Slovenian tax numbers for all shareholders and representatives. Then you would have to come to Slovenia to register the company and deposit the 7.500€ share capital, which is the minimal amount when you are establishing an LTD company.
In the process of company registration, you also need to present also a business address for your company in Slovenia and a valid passport.

2nd step in business immigration to Slovenia – fulfilling the conditions of active business conduct
Only opening a company does not give you automatic right for business immigration to Slovenia. After company registration the company would need to fulfill the conditions of active business conduct. The conditions are the following:
- Investment into fixed assets in amount of 50 000 EUR
- or there is one EU citizen employed in company for at least 6 months for full-time
- or the company has at least 10.000 EUR monthly revenue for 6 consecutive months.
Your company only has to fulfill one of these conditions for you to be eligible for business immigration to Slovenia. Once it is fulfilled, you can submit your application for the work and residence permit at the Slovenian embassy in your country of citizenship or residence.
