How to obtain the license for international transport for the Slovenian company?
A company that wants to conduct the transport business activity has to obtain a license. A license is a document with which the company proves that they have the right to perform transportations listed in the document.
Immediately after the registration of the LTD you can start the process of obtaining the license for international transport for goods with vehicles weighing over 3,5 tons. You can apply if you have proven your financial capability and obtained a responsible person of the company – the manager of vehicles. The license is issued by the appropriate institution – in Slovenia it is the Chamber of Commerce of Slovenia and the Chamber of Craft of Slovenia, respectively. By the legislation of the European Union, you can obtain the license for international transport for a period of 10 years, while the Road Transport ACT (ZPCP) determines that the license should be obtained for a period of 5 years.
The institution issues the License in 15 days after receiving the complete documentation. The original issue of the license has to be kept at the seat of the company, but a copy has to be kept in each vehicle. License is not transferable.
