Step 1: Company registration in Slovenia
In order to engage in any business activity, you would have to register a company first. Non-EU citizens can register an LTD company with 7500€ share capital. In addition, you would have to provide a business address for your company and Slovenian tax numbers for all shareholders and representative.
Within the company, you need to register business activities relating to a flower shop. The main business activity is under the SKD code G47.76 – Retail in specialized stores selling flowers and related items. Additionally, you would also have to register the business activity under the SKD code G47.661 – Retail sale in flower shops.
Additional requirements for running a flower shop in Slovenia
In order to do business as a florist, you will have to have at least finished education for gardening school or finished secondary education in the suitable area. Additionally, the space where your flower shop is located, has to abide my minimal technical and hygienic standards. Within the business activity you can offer services of preparing flower arrangements, wrapping gifts and are also involved in decorating business or private premises.
