The proposal of the Law on employment, self-employment and work of foreigners introduces the so called single permit, under which foreigners may reside and work in Slovenia, and a single point of entry for all foreigners (Administrative Unit).
This means that those non-EU citizens, who are coming to Slovenia for the purpose of employment or work, will no longer need two permits (work permit and residence permit), because the new single permit will compensate both – a residence permit and a work permit.
The Employment office of Slovenia shall give consent for foreign representative (and LTD) to get single permit if one of the following conditions are satisfied if:
- company will make an investment in tangible asset in the amount of at least 50.000 EUR (remains the same)
- you employed an EU citizen or a citizen of any other country in the company, which already has an individual work permit in Slovenia for 6 months or
- the company has a monthly turnover of 10.000 EURuring 6 months every month.
Please note that other requirements also need to be satisfied to apply for work permit. We can offer you consultancy and complete support in procedure to obtain a work permit.
Proposal of the Law on employment, self-employment and work of foreigners has not been yet confirmed by National assembly, but if the proposal will be accepted it will enter into force on 1.1.2015. For more details we suggest you to examine the adopted amendments of legal acts that regulate employment and work of foreigners.
