How to save time and open a branch office?

Many foreign entrepreneurs who decide to expand their business in Slovenia and open a branch office, but due to loads of work can not find time for the procedure itself or preparation of documentation and arrival to Slovenia to a notary, have the possibility to open a branch office through the power of attorney.

To open a branch on the basis of a power of attorney authorized person needs to have  following documents:

• the power of attorney to obtain Slovenian tax number for a foreign entity and the future deputies affiliates
• power of attorney for the authorized person to submit a proposal for registration of a branch in the court register

It is also necessary acquire some other documents:

• the decision of the parent company on the opening of branch office in Slovenia, which contains information about the name of the branch, the branch abbreviated name, address and location of the branch, activities, name of the representative branch
• regular extract from the Business Register of the parent company, which should not be older than 3 months
• the founding act of the parent company
• financial report for the last financial year in abbreviated form
• statement of the future representative branch

All documents must be certified in accordance with international laws on the verification of documents and translated by the court interpreter.

To open a branch you do not need a start-up capital.
