European directives will introduce simpler and shorter procedures for obtaining work and residence permit in Slovenia for foreigners.

The goverment has accepted the amandment to Aliens act into Slovenian legislation. The amandment will provide simpler procedures for obtaining work and residence permits for foreigners from non European countries.

Work and residence permit in Slovenia with single application

Foreigner, citizen of non EU country will be able to start procedure for obtaining work and residence permit in Slovenia with single application in Administrative unit in Slovenia.

New Slovenian legislation will establish the principal of »One stop shop« for foreigners, in which foreigners will have possibility to start process of obtaining work and residence permit  in one place.

Seasonal workers, migrant workers, self-employed foreigners, foreign providers of services in Slovenia and posted workers from other countries will be also able to obtain single permit for work and residence.

New Slovenian legislation will also shorten deadlines for decisions on issuing work and resident permits.

Data d.o.o. welcomes this amandment and we sincerelly hope it will shortly be adopted in Slovenian legislation.

Until new amandment is not accepted, don’t forget that procedure for obtaining work permit lasts up to 60 days and procedure for obtaining residence permit lasts up to 45 days.
