Non-EU citizens can establish an LTD company in Slovenia. It requires founding capital 7.500 € and the company if liable for business conduct with that amount.

Additionally, all shareholders and representatives require a Slovenian tax number. The company would also need a business address in Slovenia.

Once you have all those documents, all shareholders and representatives need to come to Slovenia for company registration. The whole process takes about 2 weeks to complete. In that time, you make the act of company establishment and open a bank account where you deposit the founding capital. Once the company registration is complete, you can start deciding through which path you would be immigrating to Slovenia.

Immigrating to Slovenia based on company establishment – fulfilling the conditions

Only establishing a company in Slovenia would not give you immediate right for immigrating here. After company establishment, the company is required to fulfill one of the following conditions:

  • Investing 50.000 € to fixed assets of the company (purchasing something the company needs for business conduct);
  • Employing an EU citizen for full-time for a period of 6 months and after 6 months the company can start employing non-EU citizen as well;
  • Showing company turnover 10.000 €/months for 6 consecutive months and after 6 months of such turnover the company can start employing foreigners.

Once one of these conditions is fulfilled, you can apply for your work and residence permit and start immigrating to Slovenia. This will enable you to do business in Slovenia directly.
