Fixed assets of a company are tangible assets that the company uses for business purposes. They are included in the company’s fixed asset registry. They cannot be goods that would be sold through the company’s business activity, but rather something the company uses to generate the income of the company.
Depending on the company’s activity, fixed assets can span from various items. They can be equipment, vehicles or real estate.

How can purchasing fixed assets of the company help you with business immigration to Slovenia?
The Slovenian legislation foresees purchasing fixed assets of the company as one of the options for the company to become eligible for business immigration to Slovenia. Business immigration means that the company employs the representative and possible other foreign staff to work in their company in Slovenia. Initially, you have to open a limited liability company for that with 7500€ share capital.
After company registration you can invest into fixed assets of the company in order to start the process of business immigration. You have to buy fixed assets that relate to your company’s business activity. For example, if you have an IT company, you can buy computers, servers or other software as fixed assets of the company. If you engage in renting real estate, buying property would also count towards this investment. Also, if your company offers services of transportation, you can buy trucks or vans for this investment.
The important element to consider that the investment you make has to amount to at least 50.000€. It is also vital that your company makes the investment to fixed assets by making the payment through the corporate bank account.
This option for business immigration to Slovenia is only valid for newly established companies. It means, that you also have to make the investment within the first 6 months from company registration.
