Can you open a personal bank account in Slovenia as a non resident?
Slovenian law allows non-residents to open bank account in Slovenia. Before opening it is best to consult banks about specific limitations for non residents, if there are any.
You need to enclose following documents:
- Passport
- Confirmation of Slovenian tax number
- Foreign tax number
How to open business bank account in a process of company registration in Slovenia?
To open a bank account in Slovenia the company owners have to be present. However, to change the temporary bank account in Slovenia to business bank account, the presence of one of the company directors is sufficient. If the founder is natural person, he can make deposit in cash on the day of company registration. In this case founder immediatly receives the confirmation of capital deposit, which he must bring to the business advisor.
Founder must deposit initial capital in 14 days from company registration, the request is submitted to the court together with the certificate of capital deposit. If owners of the company do not obtain the required documentation in 14 days, they have to repeat the whole process.
