When doing business in Slovenia, you have to take into account that in addition to the public holidays that are the same as elsewhere in Europe, it also has some that are specific to the territory. One of those is 8th February, Prešeren Day. It is a cultural public holiday that marks the death of the most famous Slovenian Poet, France Prešeren, who also wrote the lyrics to the Slovenian national anthem. The other territory-specific ones are Resistance Day on the 27th April, May 2nd as an additional public holiday for Labor Day, Statehood day on 25th June, Reformation Day on 31st October, and 26th December which is Independence Day.
