To be able to do that, the foreigners would have to apply for work and residence permit in Slovenia. There are several ways through which a representative can do business immigration after establishing a company in Slovenia.
Only establishing a company in Slovenia is not enough to do business immigration to Slovenia
Many foreigners think that by establishing a company in Slovenia they would be able to immediately relocate to oversee their business in Slovenia. One does not gain the right to apply for the work and residence permit automatically by establishing a company. If the representative decides to relocate to Slovenia for business purposes, his company has to fulfill conditions of active business conduct. There are three different ways through which the company can prove active business conduct.
Ways of business immigration to Slovenia – investment of 50.000€ into fixed assets of the company
The fastest of the ways to gain the right for the representative to start business immigration, is for the company to make an investment to fixed assets in the amount of at least 50.000€. This does not mean that it is sufficient only to deposit this amount to the bank account. Your company needs to purchase something it would need to conduct its business. It has to be connected to the company’s business activities. For some business activities it is possible to purchase real estate, company car, equipment etc.
Ways of business immigration to Slovenia – employing an EU citizen for 6 months
The second of the ways to prove active business conduct is employing an EU citizen for a period of at least 6 months on a full workday. After he has worked for your company for at least 6 months and has received all his salaries, the representative can apply for the work and residence permit.
Ways of business immigration to Slovenia – company turnover 10.000€/month for 6 months
The third of the ways for the foreigner to be eligible to apply for the work and residence permit is that the company has turnover 10.000€ each month for 6 consecutive months. This means that is has to generate turnover by issuing invoices to clients for its services or products. It also needs to receive payment for those services from clients in the amount not lower than 10.000€ per month. After 6 consecutive months of having this turnover, the representative can apply for work and residence permit.
Ways of business immigration to Slovenia – employing people with higher education
There is on option that is not connected to ways of proving active business conduct to also do business immigration. If the company wants to hire a person with finished university education, it does not have to fulfill any of the options mentioned in the previous points. But in this case the applicant has to pass Slovenian labor market control to check if there are no suitable Slovenian candidates for his job position.
