Holidays in Slovenia
National holidays and also non-working days in Slovenia are prescribed by the Law on holidays and free days in the Republic of Slovenia. In 2021, we have 20 holidays, of which 15 are state holidays and hence non-working days. 5 of them are not state holidays, so they are normal work days. In 2021, only 6 state holidays will fall on weekdays – the rest will fall on weekends, which are also considered non-working days in most industries.

December 26th – Independence and Unity Day (Sunday)
According to the Law, Easter and Whit Sunday are also non-working days, but they always fall on Sunday.
