In many countries in the world, people celebrate Halloween on 31st October. But in Slovenia, we do not celebrate Halloween in form of national holidays. We have other holidays on the 31st October as well as 1st November. Both days are national holidays, hence non-working days in Slovenia.

31st October 2019 – Reformation Day
In Slovenia, we celebrate Reformation Day on the 31st October. It is connected to remembrance on a religious, political and cultural movement in the 16th century. Because of it, Slovenians got our first book in Slovene language. The movement was Reformation. On 31st October Martin Luther nailed written works (95 Theses) on the door of the Castle Church in Wittenberg, Germany. In addition to Slovenia, Chile and Germany also celebrate this holiday on the same day.
1st November 2019 – All Saints’ Day
After 31st October, we have an additional holiday in Slovenia on the 1st November. It is All Saints’ Day, where people remember the loved ones who have passed away. It is not a holiday specific to Slovenia, as many countries that practice Christianity celebrate the holiday as well.
Both these days are national holidays in Slovenia, meaning that no governmental office and most private companies do not have business hours on 31st October and 1st November 2019. At Data, we also would not be present in our office, but you can turn to us again on 4th November 2019.
Data d.o.o. will not have business hours on 31st October and 1st November 2019 but we will address your queries upon our return on 4th November.
