Which foreigners can become sole entrepreneur in Slovenia?
Citizens of the EU can register s.p. without limitations. They just need Slovenian tax number, Slovenian ID number (EMŠO) and valid passport or ID card. Also foreigners who already have work and living permit in Slovenia for at least 1 year can open s.p. as well!

What if you aren’t EU citizen?
If you aren’t EU citizen or if you don’t have work and living permit in Slovenia for at least 1 year then you can’t become sole entrepreneur in Slovenia. But this doesn’t mean you can’t open company in Slovenia! Your possibility is to open LTD company! In this case there is no limitations. To establish LTD company you need to provide minimum capital of 7.500 euros. You will also need to obtain Slovenian tax number. And your company will need business address as well. But you know what!
