Single person LTD company in Slovenia – benefits under Intervention Act

When is a director of a single person LTD company eligible to receive basic income under Intervention Act?

The Intervention Act stipulates that beneficiaries of extraordinary assistance in the form of monthly basic income are also shareholders who are representatives (directors) in an enterprise and are insured pursuant to Article 16 of ZPIZ-2 (based on insurance basis 040). The director of a single person LTD company can manage the company through a special agreement. If the director is not insured on another basis (ie not employed in another company), he does not receive a salary in terms of employment (in which case he would be insured on basis 001) and is eligible for receiving basic income during coronavirus outbreak.

Additional conditions?

The director of a single person company must also meet the following requirements:

  • due to an epidemic, is unable to conduct the business activity of the company or carries it out in a decreased extent;
  • at least a 25% decrease in revenue of the company in March 2020 compared to February 2020;
  • or a 50% decrease in revenue of the single person LTD company in April or May 2020 compared to February 2020;
  • a decrease in revenues in the first half of 2020 by more than 20% over the same period in 2019 and in the second half of 2020 no more than a 20% increase in revenues compared to the same period in 2019, and
  • has paid all tax obligations.
