Citizens of non EU members, who are legally living in Slovenia for a minimum of one year have the right to start and conduct a business in Slovenia as an individual entrepreneur – sole trader. Anyone, who live in Slovenia less than one year, has the right to open: LTD, branch or representative office.
In order to start and conduct a business in Slovenia with the opening of the LTD, the founders have to invest a starting capital in the minimum amount of 7.500 EUR. When the company in Slovenia is registered, this capital can be used to conduct a business (for company’s monthly expenses, salaries, investments, etc.).

- Make an investment in the fixed assets in the amount of at least 5.000 EUR;
- Full-term employment an employee in the company for 6 months;
- Show the company income for the past 6 months, which should not be lower than 10.000 EUR per month;
As a company director you have the right to apply for a single work and residence permit without monitoring the labor market in Slovenia.
