Trial version of the system of fiscal cash registers, in other words cash control system for tax confirmation of issued bills, will be able to use from 1st September 2015. Apart from taxpayers, providers of cash control services and software developers will have the opportunity to test the suitability of the hardware and software for tax confirmation for issuing the bills.

Obtaining a free digital certificate made specially for fiscal cash registers will be possible from November on, while in December taxpayers will start with the optional inclusion in the system of tax confirmation for issuing the bills.

From 2nd January 2016 the system of fiscal cash registers, introduced by the Law on tax confirmation of issued bills will be obligatory for all taxpayers.

Special digital certificate for fiscal cash registers will be obligatory also for those taxpayers who issue a relatively small amount of bills and have no special requirements, which is why web portal E-taxes offers  charge free application made for issuing of bills/invoices. As the system is user friendly, all you will need is a computer, an internet connection and standard digital certificate.

In between – means in a transition period until 31st December 2017, taxpayers will be still allowed to use bound books for issuing bills/invoices, but in this case, taxpayers will have ten days to send issued bills/invoices to the Financial Administration of Slovenia (FURS) via portal e-taxes. Those taxpayers will be at the same time bounded by the internal act, while simultaneous use of electronic device and bound book for issuing bills/invoices in the same office – will not be allowed.

Financial Administration of Republic Slovenia (FURS) has also published a guide through fiscal cash register system, which briefly explains what are the duties of each taxpayer and customers/clients according to the implementation of the system of fiscal cash registers.

There is also to be expected to be issued a brief guide about the system of fiscal cash registers for taxpayers, consumers and software developers – which we will inform you as soon as possible under section ”News”.
