Once your company in Slovenia is officially registered, you can choose between different ways on how to obtain permit.

  • investment of min. 50.000 € in the fixed assets of your company. The investment has to be made within first 6 months from the registration of your company.
  • employment of at least 1 person for at least 6 months. You can employ Slovenian, EU citizen or any other person with work and residence permit in Slovenia.
  • turnover of min. 10.000 € every month 6 months in a row. This means that you would have to issue invoices to clients in that amount and the clients would pay the invoices in the amount of at least 10.000 € each month.

A company that would like to employ a non-EU citizen with at least finished university education, is exempt from fulfilling any of the conditions mentioned above. But the chosen applicant has to pass Slovenian labor market control first, prior to being able to apply for work and residence permit.

Also the applicant can not be the director of the company in this case.
