What is an operating permit?

An operating permit is a decree with which the authority that issued the building permit allows the start of usage of that space. The intention of this permit is determining if all prescribed measures have been taken to prevent any damage when using these premises.

The responsible administrative unit issues the operating permit for the area of the location of the property. Your property will have to pass the examination in terms of safety at work, quality of equipment, environmental factors.

When will your company have to apply for the operating permit?

When doing business in Europe, some business activities require that you would obtain the operating permit. They include mostly activities related to catering, offering accommodation, education, laboratories and other medical practices, etc.
